Tom Griffiths
Business Manager
IBEW Local 625
Brother Tom Griffiths spent 23 years on the tools before transitioning to the role of Organizer with IBEW Local 625 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Within only two years, he successfully organized one of his former non-union employers, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Brother Tom’s leadership qualities became evident during his nearly decade-long tenure as Assistant Business Manager at Local 625, paving the way for his election into Business Manager in 2017.
Mandeep Saggu
Asst. Business Manager
IBEW Local 213
An RSE with experience in residential, commercial and industrial projects, Brother Mandeep Saggu brings a wide span of industry knowledge to his role as Assistant Business Manager at IBEW Local 213.
An active NextGen member, Mandeep was appointed to and served as the NextGen Chair for four years before being elected to the Local’s Executive Board.
Working as Local 213’s dispatcher for three years, Mandeep was promoted to ABM in 2019. A shark at the bargaining table, Mandeep’s bargaining units comprise more than half of Local 213’s membership.
Meaghan Olmstead
Asst. Business Manager
IBEW Local 2228
Before becoming Assistant Business Manager at IBEW Local 2228 in 2018, Sister Meaghan Olmstead worked as a Communications Navigations and Surveillance Technologist at Nav Canada.
Meaghan holds a labour relations certificate from Queens University and plans to expand her knowledge in the pension and benefits space. She also co-founded and co-chairs the IBEW 2228 Women’s Committee.
A skillful negotiator, Meaghan has played a vital role in shaping federal legislation on crucial workplace issues.
Craig Anderson
Asst. Business Manager
IBEW Local 1928
Brother Craig Anderson, Assistant Business Manager at IBEW Local 1928 joined the IBEW in 2009 as a Substation Technician at Nova Scotia Power.
While on the tools, Craig served on various IBEW committees before moving into the position of ABM at the age of 32. Meeting the eligibility requirements at the time, Craig also began charing the NextGen Committee.
In 2023, Brother Craig was identified as an emerging leader in the Commonwealth. He was invited to participate in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference, joining nearly 300 delegates from business, government, labour, and community sectors worldwide.
